Project scope :
The project aims to improve the efficient of baggage handling system and shorten the time for those baggage to be processed for transferring. The redirection of all transfer baggage to the TBT will enable more originating baggage to be handled in the existing sorting area. The Transfer Baggage Terminal is a 2 - story building with total floor area 10,000 sq. m hosting a state-of-art baggage handling and sorting facilities, and CT-Scanner which capable of handling 3,900 bag per hour of connecting flight luggage to transfer flight. The steel framed building stands on a concrete base of the South Airside Tunnel. The exterior wall cladding with metal composite panel.

Design Phase
- Conduct feasibility study in terms of engineering, architectural and economical aspects
- Conduct study and determine the most suitable place to set the project in the airside
- Provide study results and information to AOT to make decisions about scale, scope and viability of project
- Assess/evaluate existing baggage handling system and equipment at the Airport to determine the potential of utilizing them
- Identify the most efficient interfacing system between new TBT, Passenger Terminal and Satellite building
- Conduct design of building with its structural life span last at least 50 years
