The double track railway project involves construction of a new line of railway along exist line. The project route starting from Chachoengsao station to Wiharndang station; total 78 km, from Bui Yai station to Kaeng Khoi station; total 19 km, and from Wiharndang station up to the approaching Bui Yai station; total 9 km. Construction of other railway infrastructure comprises 3 chord lines at 3 junction stations i.e. Chachoengsao, Kaeng Khoi and Baan Phachee; total length 7.1 km, signaling system and telecommunication system along the project route includes 3 chord lines, reinforced concrete railway bridges, reinforced concrete flyover bridges across the railway track and a 1.2 km single-track railway tunnel runs along the side of existing railway tunnel which runs through the Putthachai mountain.
